Before/After School Program

We help our students excel in academics, and develop strong moral character and great habits to succeed in life.

  • Don’t let your child fall behind. At Matheus, they can work with a teacher everyday to review homework.

  • Help your child improve and enhance their math skills. We emphasize thinking and problem solving, not just getting the answer.

  • Help your child learn to read and write well. We teach students how explore their thoughts and communicate to others, as well as how to use modern tools of communication to expand audience size and influence.

  • Through our fantasy world, students explore values and morals with our heroes.

  • Your child shouldn't just learn the answers for a test, but learn the "why’s" and the "how’s". Analyzing the question helps to develop learning that lasts long after school.

  • At Matheus, students set the rules in a Democratic Republican system to truly learn the processes, roles, responsibilities, and consequences. Enlightened citizenship takes practice!

  • Your child will explore all sorts of topics, from architecture to robotics, medicine to farming, pottery to coding. You can't know your interests or find your passion until you try new things!

  • We provide proper nutritious and filling meals for all our students.

Daily Schedule

At Matheus, we provide the environment, tools, and guidance to help our students to gain the courage to follow the path to life-long success. To succeed in the Matheus Afterschool Program, we strongly suggest our students be picked up after 6 pm. We need the time to work with our students to guide and encourage the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and character needed to be successful. Our students need time to find their true passion and purpose.

(Before School Program begins at 7AM and drop-off at school is 9AM.)

  • Pick Up From School

    Students are picked up from school and brought to the center.

  • Small Meal Served

    We serve a nutritious after-school snack during which we will teach table manners.

  • Homework Help

    Our teachers and housemates are available to help your child learn proper study habits.

  • Matheus Math Program

    Our proprietary math program focuses on the “how”, reasoning, patterns, and problem solving. This program is scheduled for 30 minutes, twice a week.

  • Matheus Language Program

    Your child will learn to communicate in many different ways such as written, oral, video, and more. This program is scheduled for 30 min twice a week.

  • Class Governance

    Your child will learn to be a responsible citizen in our self-governing classes. Every Friday is a town hall where government is practiced.

  • Personal Passion Projects

    Your child will be given the opportunity to explore their interests or try something new!

  • Time to Play or Relax

    At the end of the day, we give your child free time to relax and play their way.

  • Evening Pick Up

    Time to go home and enjoy time with family. Pick-up is at or after 6PM.

We know when school is out, parents are scrambling. Our After School Program includes winter breaks, spring breaks, professional development days and other school closing days. We are focused on helping Matheus parents raise successful leaders which means we are available when parents’ schedules are full. No need to worry or scramble!

Cooperation & Competition

Life demands both cooperation and competition to succeed. In that spirit, our students are assigned to one of Four Houses of Virtue - Wisdom, Service, Temperance, or Courage. Each House has a leader, and their own mascots, colors, flags, and other details that make it unique! Students cooperate with housemates to gain merit points, and compete against other Houses for honor and prizes.

And it’s not just for students - we have many fun and challenging events planned to foster both cooperation and competition that involve parents as well!

Summer Camp!

Summer is a perfect time to grow, catch up, or move ahead!

Both fun and learning happen at Matheus Summer Camp!

When the school year ends, Matheus After School becomes an all day program. Our summer camp is filled with fun and exciting activities that leave lasting memories while reinforcing the lessons of the past year. Furthermore, it’s an opportunity to grow and move ahead of the class. Students can use this time to focus on individual passion projects and help explore their interests.

  • Morning Drop Off

    Drop-off is between 7AM and 8AM.

  • Small Breakfast Served

    Your child will start the day with a quick, nutritious breakfast! We also use this time to help your child learn table manners.

  • Morning Theme Activity

    Each week, we will explore one of the themes from the World of Meridian.

  • Matheus Math Program

    Our proprietary math program focuses on the “how”, reasoning, patterns, and problem solving. This program is scheduled for 30 minutes every day during the summer.

  • Matheus Language Program

    Your child will learn to communicate in a variety of ways including written, oral, video, and more. This program is scheduled for 30 minutes every day during the summer.

  • Lunch Time

    Everyone participates in serving and in cleaning up our provided meal.

  • Class Governance

    Your child will learn to be a responsible citizen in our self-governing classes. Every Friday is a town hall where government is practiced.

  • Physical Activities

    Your chill will participate in organized physical activity like kick ball, soccer, baseball, and other sports, or attend field trips to explore neighborhood parks.

  • Personal Passion Projects

    Your child will be given the opportunity to explore their interests or try something new!

  • Weekly Field Trips

    Fun and exciting field trips. Educational, fun, and even volunteer opportunities are planned for the summer. Let’s grow!

  • Time to Play or Relax

    At the end of the day, we give your child free time to relax and play their way.
